2022 Topps Heritage Minors inserts
A number of fun insert sets add a little extra 1970s flair to the 2022 Topps Heritage Minors offering. While not the toughest pulls, these are sure to be fun pulls.

1973 Topps 1953 Reprints
Topps describes this insert set this way: “In 1973, Topps reissued the iconic art from the 1953 set with a fresh/simplified design twist really letting the image breathe. This will be a recreation of that open design, highlighting top MiLB players.”

2022 Topps Heritage Minors autographs
2022 Topps Heritage Minors offers two on-card autographs per hobby box, which feels like a good value in a box that sells for around $60. Sure, some of these players may never see the minors, but the promise of pulling an autograph of the next big thing is, well, a big thing.
Real One Autographs
With the same classic design of the base set, these add some ink to the equation, making for some really beautiful autographs.
Parallels include Blue (/99), Black (/50), Gold (/25) and Red (1/1).
Real One Dual Autographs
All the goodness of the Real One Autographs, but with autos of two players and a print run of just 20 copies each.
Select cards from the 1973 Topps Pack Covers insert set and get autograph versions that are limited to 50 copies. 1973 Topps 1953 Reprints inserts have autographed versions that are /99. Base Card Image Variation Autographs are limited to 50 copies each.
As mentioned above, box topper 1973 Topps Baseball Pin-Ups have Autographed versions (/25) and 1/1 FoilFractor Autograph versions.
2022 Topps Heritage Minors value
While not a high-end product, Topps Heritage Minors does appear to hold its value well in unopened form, if not appreciate significantly. 2022 Topps Heritage Minors hobby boxes are pre-selling in the $50-60 range. 2021 boxes are selling in the $60-70 range, while 2020 boxes are selling in the $60-75 range.
Again, not a ton of upside potential, but at least they’re not losing value and may even be ticking up slightly. Generally speaking, pre-rookie and minor league cards aren’t as valuable as a player’s true rookie cards. That being said, they still have value and make a nice addition to a collection.
Final thoughts on 2022 Topps Heritage Minors
2022 Topps Heritage Minors is a low-cost offering that celebrates the minor leagues with an old-school design and vintage feel. With two autographs per box and a very reasonable price tag, this is tempting for a fun break, although one likely without monster hits.
Still, there’s a place for 2022 Topps Heritage Minors amongst your breaks. I’m strongly considering picking up a hobby box myself!
