2025 Bowman Sapphire value

2025 Bowman Sapphire brings the premium blue Sapphire sparkle in a streamlined product offering. But are these a good candidate to buy-and-hold unopened? Let’s see what a look at recent hobby box comp prices suggest about the potential for 2025?

YearRecent Hobby Box Comp Price
2025$550 (drop price)
2024$700-775
2023NA
2022$500-625

Based on recent comp prices, these appear to have some upside, perhaps significantly so, if you can get these at or near their drop prices. That can be a tall order will quick sell-outs, but if you can grab one, the upside is there, whether you hold it for days or a few years.

What about in terms of singles? What can a look at recent sales of 2024 Bowman Sapphire singles tell us about the potential high water mark for 2025?

A Red Refractor Auto of Walker Jenkins /5 in PSA 10 sold for $3,500. George Lombard Jr. Black Autograph cards /10 have sold for $2,425 in a PSA 10 and $2,100 in PSA 9. A Pablo Guerrero Superfractor Auto sold for $2,000, as did an Arjun Nimmala Orange Auto /25 in a PSA 10 slab.

Prices go down from there, with lots of cards between $1,000 and $2,000. It is clear that these do offer the chance at some significant value. All the usual caveats apply: the high priced cards are rare, these boxes don’t have a ton of cards, the box price certainly isn’t cheap, and prospect will break your heart. That being said, the chance at a big hit is absolutely present in these.

2025 Bowman Sapphire pros & cons

All hobby products have pros and cons that you should consider when deciding whether to purchase or not. What are some of the pros and cons of 2025 Bowman Sapphire?

Pros

  • This streamlined product has the making of a fast, fun break with an autograph in every box and some color, too. Even the base cards look really nice!
  • There are some strong names on the checklist, and the rarer parallels and autographs should hold solid value based on prices from prior years.
  • These are a good candidate to buy-and-hold or flip unopened if you can get them at or near the buy-in price.

Cons

  • The price tag on these is high, and seems to be getting higher every year. For a box with not that many cards, the chance of striking out on a break is high.

With any prospect-driven product, there’s what’s good now…and what will be good later. Only time will help sort that out, so it may take years to know the winners and losers in this product.

Final Thoughts on 2025 Bowman Sapphire

2025 Bowman Sapphire offers up a streamlined product offering with a cool Sapphire finish and some very cool hits. But the price tag should give you pause, unless you can get it at or near the drop price.
