A few red flags with Certified 2024 Football 

Like every 2024 Panini football product, there are a few caveats that come with 2024 Certified must be mentioned to do collectors justice.

I will be saying this in every 2024 product review I wrote: many of the top 2024 draft picks are working exclusively with Fanatics on autographs: Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, AD Mitchell, Malik Nabers, Brendan Rice, Jayden Daniels, Brian Thomas Jr., Xavier Worthy, and Rome Odunze, to name a few.

These athletes agreed to no more autos with Panini, but they could still have some in this set. (Rome Odunze seems to). 

And with a box that’s driven primarily with autographs, it’s a set that falls particularly flat without top rookie signers. Yes, you’ll be able to pull rookies or a nice SSP like Kaboom, but they’d have to be really special rookie cards to make up for the $500 price tag.

What to expect from 2024 Panini Certified Football

Each hobby box of Certified Football contains:

• 1 Freshman Fabric Signatures card
• 1 additional autograph
• 2 memorabilia cards
• 10 inserts
• 2 rookies or rookie parallels
• 3 numbered parallels

This configuration may sound appealing, but for serious investors, it’s essential to weigh these inclusions against the product’s limitations.

The lack of autographs from top 2024 rookies, which many collectors consider a cornerstone of a product’s value, reduces the likelihood of seeing significant returns from this release.

With that in mind, here’s the value of sealed Certified boxes for the last few years (as of 11/4/2024):

• 2020: $600
• 2021: $225
• 2022: $225
• 2024: $300

Certified Football typically holds reasonably steady in the secondary market due to its mix of autographs, memorabilia cards, and SSP inserts, and in rare cases like the deep rookie classes of 2020, it gains quite a bit of value.

However, without high-profile rookie autographs, 2024 Certified is likely to struggle in terms of value appreciation. As a sealed product, it lacks the unique appeal that would make it a strong candidate for long-term holding.

So if you want to make money long-term with this product as a hold, don’t buy this box anywhere near the $300 mark.

Investing in 2024 Football Certified

For singles, the Freshman Fabric Signatures may attract some attention, but the absence of key rookies makes this release far less desirable compared to other products. Save your individual player investments for a brand that has more potential, like Prizm, Optic, or a high-end one like National Treasures.
