November is a slower month for cards, with only a handful of releases from the big three sports that are worth paying attention to. For this article, we picked some of the highlights from a fairly boring month.
As always, here are the CardLines picks for cards to watch in November 2024. And, also as always, a feature on this list doesn’t mean it’s a must-buy. We’re sharing honest thoughts on all products.
Please note: the release schedules are very fluid and move frequently. These dates are not guaranteed (and with so many releases tentatively scheduled for November, it’s a safe bet that many of these will not release this month).
The 2023/24 Panini Impeccable Soccer Hobby Box offers a high-end collecting experience with some of the most upscale designs and elements in the card world.
Each $1,000 box contains one pack with eight cards, including four autographs, one additional autograph or memorabilia card, one insert, one parallel, and one base card.
Collectors can find features like the metal Stainless Stars and cards incorporating authentic gold and silver.
The set includes indelible ink from some of the Premier League’s hottest stars and greatest legends in inserts such as Canvas Creations,
Impeccable Club History Autographs, and Immortal Ink. With a star-studded checklist that magnificently melds autographs and memorabilia, this collection is perfect for serious soccer card enthusiasts.
National Treasures RPAs are some of the most sought-after cards every year, and the National Treasures 1/1 rookies are the cards often making headlines with six or seven-figure selling prices.
That said, this is National Treasures Collegiate, which features all the players in their NCAA uniforms. While these cards are still valuable, they will immediately be trumped by NFL National Treasures as soon as it is released. And nte that this is last year’s product, meaning it still has college autos of JJ McCarthey and Rome Odunze alongside current college prospects like Quinn Ewers and Arch Mannings.
The boxes include 1 pack of 8 cards and are pre-ordering for $700. In each pack, you can look for 7 autograph or memorabilia cards and 1 base/parallel.
Pre-ordering for $325, Certified returns to claim its place as an annual staple – 25 years running. In that quarter-century, it’s never the most popular product, but it’s not bad, either.
You can think of it somewhere between 11-20 in the annual release power rankings. Each box contains 11 packs of 5 cards, with 2 autographs (including 1 Freshman Fabric Signature), 2 memorabilia cards, 11 inserts, 2 rookies, and 3 numbered parallels.
While keeping the rookies fairly limited in print run, the new additions include super short print Night Moves parallel.
The 2024 Panini Impeccable Baseball collection debuts with a single pack per box, containing nine cards. This set introduces a mix of autographs, jumbo memorabilia cards, and non-autographed Stainless Stars cards.
On average, each $500 box delivers five autographed cards, offering collectors the chance to find signatures from top baseball prospects and stars. The set also includes on-card autographed memorabilia in the Elegance Prospect Jersey Autographs subset.
On top of that, collectors can discover Silver & Gold Cooperstown and Prospects Logo cards, featuring both up-and-coming prospects and legendary players.
Remember, this is an unlicensed product, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be some valuable cards pulled from within.
Absolute Football returns with a compact and exciting configuration of 3 packs per box, each containing 5 cards. Priced at $499.95 for pre-orders, 2024 brings back iconic features like Rookie Premiere Materials Autographs, Tools of the Trade, Jumbo Memorabilia cards, and the ever-iconic SSP Kaboom! (Plus Explosive, and the Glass case-hit, too, but those aren’t as cool.)
Absolute Football continues its tradition of delivering a stunning assortment of memorabilia cards, raising the bar with Tools of the Trade, Ground Hoggs, and the fabled Pro Bowl Souvenirs.
Each box break guarantees 1 Rookie Premiere Materials Autograph, 2 additional autographs, 2 memorabilia cards, 1 insert, 2 parallels, 1 rookie card, and 6 base cards.
You know it’s a slow month when I’m writing about two unlicensed baseball products.
And while this is not licensed, it is at least Prizm, so it will still appeal to some collectors nonetheless. 2024 Prizm Baseball comes with a price tag of $140 and has 12 packs of 12 cards, with a deep rainbow of colors to reflect the 300-card set.
You can expect 3 autographs, 22 base prizms and 12 inserts in every box. Autograph sets include Prospect Signatures, Legendary Signatures, and Throwback Signatures, and these boxes also have the Color Blast SSP for collectors to chase.
Panini notes that low-numbered parallels include Green Scope, Orange Wave, and the Ultra-Rare Gold Vinyl.
How do you know when you’re opening a high-end football product? It comes in a briefcase. If you’ve never watched a Flawless break, check one out. Each box is actually a briefcase. You can carry it to your next card show for ultimate collector clout.
The product is like last year: each $5000 box (yes, you read that right) contains 1 pack of 10 cards. Meanwhile, all cards are numbered 25 or less, and the autos are on-card. Of the 10 cards, expect 6 autographs, at least 1 gem cards, and 2 or 3 memorabilia cards per box (erm, briefcase).
There are also on-card booklet autographs featuring rookie booklets, veteran booklets, Signature Gems, Flawless Duals, and Super Bowl Gems. This product doesn’t have a price tag yet but expect one in the five figures.
Per the release notes, this product “truly sparkles with the inclusion of authentic rubies, sapphires and diamonds — including the breathtaking NFL Sheild Gems and Super Bowl Gems chases.”
Another Panini Football release drops on November 27th when 2024 Panini Mosaic hits shelves. The product is a Top 10 release in the football card world. The opti-chrome product doesn’t get the attention of other chrome releases but still has a place in some collector’s arsenal.
With 10 packs per box and 15 cards per pack, the release is known for its iconic large selection of parallels complete with a variety of colorful backgrounds.
While we don’t have an exact date or price yet, we know Rookies and Stars will be coming in November (or… at least, that’s what they’re saying for now.)
The 2024 Rookies & Stars Football set delivers a compelling mix of cards with six packs per box, each containing 10 cards. This 200-card base set combines a vibrant selection of both rookies and veteran players, offering a design that honors the product’s history while embracing the future.
Popular inserts like Crusade, Thrillers, and Stellar Rookies are featured, with the added excitement of autograph parallels.
Collectors can anticipate finding two autographs, two memorabilia cards, five numbered base or rookie cards, 12 inserts or insert parallels, 12 rookie cards, and six Optichrome inserts or insert parallels in each box.
