Cardlines November 2023 Sports Card And Memorabilia Auction Preview

November is an exciting month. The World Series wraps up. The NFL, NHL, and NBA seasons are in full swing, and the holiday season gets underway. But while the temperature drops outside, the auction action continues to be scorching.

But what auctions are going on this month? When do they wrap up? And what are some of the items worth chasing? Let’s explore the November auction action!

Sirius Sports Cards Auction #351

Sirius Sports Cards has their Auction #351, which closes early in the month on November 2nd. There’s a lot of variety in this auction, and as always Sirius offers a lower Buyer’s Premium than most at a very reasonable 12.5%.

Items of Note

Baseball makes up the biggest part of this auction, although Football has a solid showing as well. Basketball, Hockey, and Non-Sports have less of a showing.

The most popular lots here appear to be post-war graded sports cards of some of the biggest names in the hobby. Examples include a 1965 Topps Joe Namath in PSA 6, and high-grade copies of classic vintage baseball cards like the 1956 Topps cards of Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, and Yogi Berra.

Unlike most auction houses, Sirius also has lots of collecting supplies up for auction, giving collectors a chance to stock up on top loaders and the like.

Clean Sweep November Auction

Clean Sweep brings us their November auction, with the gavel falling on Wednesday, November 8th at 11 PM EST.

Baseball makes up the lion’s share of this auction, although Boxing also makes a strong showing.

Items of Note

The story here is an interesting assortment of cards, mostly graded, ranging from the 1880s to the present day, with a strong concentration in the post-war vintage era of the 1950s to 1970s. Many of these are in “collector grade,” so they’re attainable as opposed to being museum pieces.

A few examples of the mid-grade, mid-century goodness include a PSA 4 1953 Topps Willie Mays, a 1956 Topps Mickey Mantle in Beckett 5, and an SGC 2.5 Roberto Clemente rookie card. There’s a near-complete 1956 Topps set and a Pete Rose rookie card in a PSA 4 slab.

The Boxing items date back to the 1880s, with an SGC 1 1884 N43 Billy Edwards as an example. The 1951 Ringside Joe Louis in PSA 5 is a card you don’t see often.

Heritage Auctions 2023 November 16 – 18 Fall Sports Catalog Auction

Heritage Auctions brings us a big auction mid-month, with its Fall Sports Catalog Auction. With almost 2,650 items, this is a very large auction with a lot of super premium lots. This auction covers a lot of ground, as well, with lots from 1884 to the present day.

With so many lots, there’s a little something for everyone in this auction, and it’s very much worth a look. The featured items are a who’s who of the greatest cards of the pre and post-war eras.

There’s a 1909-11 T206 Piedmont Ty Cobb in PSA 8, one of the nicest examples out there. All the big names are here, including Babe Ruth, Joe Jackson, Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, Michael Jordan, and more.

Wheatland December 2023 Sports Card & Memorabilia Auction

Wheatland is back with its December 2023 Sports Card & Memorabilia auction. While this one also ends in early December, we thought it made sense to include it in the November article so you don’t miss it.

As is the Wheatland way, the items here are less museum pieces and more things that the average collector can add to their collection. Being able to add nice items to your collection without breaking the bank is a nice change from many auction houses. Baseball is king here, but all sports and some non-sports are represented.

These include graded rookie cards of Sandy Koufax, Ernie Banks, Terry Bradshaw, Wayne Gretzky, and more.  It’s not all vintage, though, with some more modern cards sure to get some attention.

This includes the 2023 Topps Allen & Ginter Victor Wembanyama Auto, or the 2023 Topps Cosmic Chrome Shohei Ohtani Supernova Superfractor 1/1 in a PSA 10 slab.
