2023 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball base set
The base set of 2023 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball consists of 150 cards. The checklist is made up of major league veterans, rookies, and former stars. Each base card is serial numbered out of 99.
The design is based on Topps Chrome, but with stylized background elements and lots of “gilded” gold frame elements around the borders. It may feel a bit over the top for some collectors, but others are likely to enjoy the touch of elegance.
Topps Gilded Collection 2023 parallels
Beyond the base set, which in its own right could be considered a numbered parallel, 2023 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball offers both full parallels and some partial parallel offerings to chase.
Full set parallels include:
- Wave Gold Etch – /75
- Mini-Diamond Gold Etch – /50
- RayWave Gold Etch – /25

In addition, select rookies get Cast in Gold Variations, which are numbered out of /199. 1/1 SuperFractor versions are also available.

2023 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball value
2023 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball marks just the second year of the product, so it’s difficult to determine what the long-term value of sealed boxes may look like. That being said, one year in, we may be able to glean some insights from how 2022 Topps Gilded Collection sells for a year after its release.
In this case, the early returns are promising. 2022 Topps Gilded Collection pre-sold $350-400. Recent sales of sealed hobby boxes have been in the $700-750 range. So, there’s clearly some potential upside here in a “buy and hold” scenario.
In terms of single, it’s a mixed bag. A 2022 Topps Gilded Collection Gold Etch Refractor Auto (/30) of Shohei Ohtani in a PSA 10 slab sold for $4,500 back in August. A handful of other tough pulls have sold in the $1,000 to $1,500 range in PSA 10.
On the other side of the spectrum, a number of other cards have sold for less than the price of grading, even in a PSA 10 slab.
So, there’s a potential upside, but with this premium product, you only get five cards, so the odds are not high that you’ll pull one of the top cards. Still, if a high-end product is your thing, and your budget allows, you can do worse than Gilded Collection for potential value.
Final Thoughts on 2023 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball
2023 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball marks the sophomore release of what is fast becoming a popular high-end, premium product. There is potential for value here, either in unopened product or on a break.
The price is high and the card count is low, so know the odds and stick to your budget, but 2023 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball has the making of an interesting break.
