2024 Certified Football releases on November 22, 2024, at approximately $500 per box. While it’s a familiar and visually appealing product, 2024 Certified Football faces challenges that make it less attractive as a long-term investment.
Notably, the lack of autographs from some of the top rookies this season undercuts its potential, making it more suitable for collectors looking for a fun break rather than serious investors.

Certified Football 2024 carries forward the brand’s traditional appeal, featuring a 242-card base set with Freshman Fabric Signatures, memorabilia cards, and SSP inserts like The Mighty, Rookie Certifications, and Night Moves. Its trademark mirror foil parallels are back, bringing a polished look to every card.
However, despite the product’s familiar design and variety, Certified falls short of being a top-tier investment. The absence of several high-demand rookie autographs due to exclusivity agreements with other brands limits its allure, particularly for investors seeking high-value singles or sealed boxes to hold.

Like every 2024 Panini football product, there are a few caveats that come with 2024 Certified must be mentioned to do collectors justice.
I will be saying this in every 2024 product review I wrote: many of the top 2024 draft picks are working exclusively with Fanatics on autographs: Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, AD Mitchell, Malik Nabers, Brendan Rice, Jayden Daniels, Brian Thomas Jr., Xavier Worthy, and Rome Odunze, to name a few.
These athletes agreed to no more autos with Panini, but they could still have some in this set. (Rome Odunze seems to).
And with a box that’s driven primarily with autographs, it’s a set that falls particularly flat without top rookie signers. Yes, you’ll be able to pull rookies or a nice SSP like Kaboom, but they’d have to be really special rookie cards to make up for the $500 price tag.

Each hobby box of Certified Football contains:
This configuration may sound appealing, but for serious investors, it’s essential to weigh these inclusions against the product’s limitations.
The lack of autographs from top 2024 rookies, which many collectors consider a cornerstone of a product’s value, reduces the likelihood of seeing significant returns from this release.
Let’s look at investing in Certified as a potential investment, both sealed and singles.
Let’s assume the pre-order price doesn’t budge and we have a release price of $300 for this sealed product as we try to value it as a potential investment.
With that in mind, here’s the value of sealed Certified boxes for the last few years (as of 11/4/2024):
Certified Football typically holds reasonably steady in the secondary market due to its mix of autographs, memorabilia cards, and SSP inserts, and in rare cases like the deep rookie classes of 2020, it gains quite a bit of value.
However, without high-profile rookie autographs, 2024 Certified is likely to struggle in terms of value appreciation. As a sealed product, it lacks the unique appeal that would make it a strong candidate for long-term holding.
So if you want to make money long-term with this product as a hold, don’t buy this box anywhere near the $300 mark.

For singles, the Freshman Fabric Signatures may attract some attention, but the absence of key rookies makes this release far less desirable compared to other products. Even inserts like The Mighty or Rookie Certifications, while aesthetically appealing, lacks the draw that would make them valuable long-term.
Save your individual player investments for a brand that has more potential, like Prizm, Optic, or a high-end one like National Treasures.
Certified Football 2024 offers a variety of content and a visually appealing break, making it suitable for collectors who enjoy opening packs.
However, for those looking to invest, the limited rookie autograph selection and the absence of major draft picks make it an unwise choice as a long-term hold. Consider 2024 Certified a fun rip rather than an investment.
