Popular Anime Insert Cards Make Triumphant Return With 2025 Bowman Baseball

While the release of 2025 Bowman Baseball is months away, we got a little taste of Bowman news just as Opening Day is upon us.

The popular Anime insert cards that proved quite a hit in 2024 Bowman will return in 2025 Bowman for another manga-inspired artwork blitz.

Across their social media, Topps has posted a couple of sneak peeks of what Anime insert cards will look like.

The first example to drop featured $765 million man Juan Soto of the New York Mets.

The next sample we got was another former New York Yankee, but one who spent his entire Hall of Fame career in pinstripes, Derek Jeter.

While we don’t know the details of the 2025 offering, the 2024 set was a 15-card offering and a case hit. Parallels included Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5), and 1/1 Superfractors. There’s a good chance that 2025’s offering will be somewhat similar, although time will tell.

Bowman Anime value

As case hits with ever rarer parallels, these are sure to be popular with collectors. A look a recent sales of 2024 Bowman Anime cards shows some serious value potential.

For example, a Shohei Ohtani Orange /25 in PSA 10 sold for roughly $10,000. A #50 bookend Gold Refractor /50 of Ohtani in PSA 9 sold for $6,000. Other Ohtani-graded parallels sold for north of $2,000.

Non-parallels also hold solid value. A “base” Aaron Judge in PSA 10 recently fetched $333. A raw Gunnar Henderson sold for around $100, with several other singles selling in the $100-125 range.

The value depends on the player as some cards in the set fetch far less than others. For example, a Masataka Yoshida sold raw recently for $35. A smattering of cheaper sales for various cards can also be found.

That being said, the scarcity, player selection, and fun anime designs suggest that 2025 Bowman Anime inserts should be exciting and valuable hits.

While the release of 2025 Bowman is still some time away, and we don’t have much detail on what the release is not yet released.

But the release of the return of Bowman Anime inserts, which coincided with the end of Spring Training and the start of the regular season, will excite collectors and start some buzz around the eventual release.
