There’s a bit of an air of mystery around 2022 Topps Chrome Sonic LITE Baseball. There’s quite a bit we just don’t know yet. But there are some things we do know, including that it will give collectors one more chance to chase 2022 Topps Chrome.

2022 Topps Chrome Sonic LITE Baseball release date & release formats

The release date for 2022 Topps Chrome Sonic LITE Baseball is not currently known, although it is expected to be sometime in late February, 2023. Check back for more info as it becomes available.

Hobby LITE packs contain 4 cards per pack. Each Hobby LITE box contains 16 packs per box. Cases contain 16 boxes per case.

2022 Topps Chrome Sonic LITE Baseball hobby boxes are pre-selling for $80 per box.

Hobby boxes will contain one numbered parallel per box, along with 4 Black & White RayWave parallels.

2022 Topps Chrome Sonic LITE Baseball base set & design

Exactly what makes a 2022 Topps Chrome card Sonic LITE? We don’t actually know. Perhaps they have a special effect on the base cards, like a Logofractor card. Or perhaps the base cards are standard Chrome and just the parallels are different. We’ll have to wait and see for more info to come.

What we do know is that the base set consists of 225 cards. This includes cards 221-225, five SP rookie cards that caused a stir when they were excluded from Topps Chrome.

Collectors will also get another chance to trade in cards of Aaron Judge and Paul Goldschmidt as part of the MVP Buyback program.

In addition, a number of cards in the set include image variations.

2022 Topps Chrome Sonic LITE Baseball parallels

As with other Topps Chrome offerings, we can expect a rainbow of parallels. Exactly what they are, and what Sonic-specific offerings may exist aren’t entirely clear at this point.
