Exclusive: Some 2023 NFL Prizm Retail Boxes Mislabeled As No Huddle Boxes

If you have been around CardLines lately, you have undoubtedly seen that we have recently got into the card-breaking game.

After receiving a recent shipment of sealed 2023 Panini Prizm retail boxes this week, we noticed something peculiar. Some of the boxes appeared to be NFL Prizm No Huddle Boxes, which was odd because that is not what we ordered from the seller, which in this case was a Walmart.com 3rd party seller.

We initially believed we may have received the wrong product, but we quickly discovered that these “No Huddle Boxes” weighed the same as the Prizm Retail boxes we had.

This shouldn’t be the case, for a simple reason: there are 80 cards in a box versus 96 cards in a Prizm retail box.

Sure enough, when opening the box, the box labeled as a No Huddle box was indeed a box of Prizm retail, containing 4 packs of 24 cards.

What do we know at this point?

Because this was discovered yesterday by CardLines and hasn’t come to light previously, we don’t know why it happened. Is this an issue with Panini or the fulfillment center or something else?

Were these the only 2 boxes in existence that are mislabeled?

It’s probably fair to say that CardLines is not the only one to receive a mislabeled box of Prizm NFL retail. And this is noteworthy because a box of No Huddle will set you back around $550 on eBay while Prizm Retail (24 packs of 4 cards) sells for about $190. If you purchase a No Huddle box reseller, this could pose a significant to you.

These two boxes look very similar at first glance and may explain the origin of the mixup (same size, same basic design of the package etc).

What’s in Prizm No Huddle and Prizm Retail?

The difference between Prizm NFL No Huddle boxes and Prizm Retail boxes is significant and reflected in the significant difference in price.

In Prizm retail, collectors will find the following (around $550):

• 24 packs of 4 cards
• 1 retail exclusive
• 2 Silver Prizms
• 3 Black and White Checkboards

Meanwhile, collectors will find these cards in Prizm No Huddle (around $200):

• 8 packs of 10 cards
• 10 No Huddle Prizms
• 1 autograph

Final thoughts

If you are buying boxes of 2023 Prizm NFL No Huddle, exercise extreme caution as they might be boxes of Prizm retail. At this point, it is probably best to avoid buying them unless you can somehow verify their weight or we have more information about the extent of the problem.
