July has some awesome releases from many of the most collected sports, and in this article, we’ll look at a few of the biggest.
As always, here are the CardLines picks for cards to watch in July 2025. And, also as always, a feature on this list doesn’t mean it’s a must-buy. We’re sharing honest thoughts on all products.
Please note: the release schedules are very fluid and move frequently. These dates are not guaranteed (and with so many releases tentatively scheduled for this month, it’s a safe bet many of these will not be released this month).
Pre-ordering at $299, 2025 Panini Luminance Football returns with its signature full-bleed action photography and sleek design. Each box includes four packs with 10 cards per pack, delivering three autographs, one memorabilia card, five parallels, four inserts, and 12 rookies.
The product features a mix of horizontal and vertical layouts across the base and rookie sets, with autograph content from both current stars and all-time greats. Case-chase inserts like Animation, Moments, and Prime Time provide added appeal for collectors.
2025 Panini Donruss Racing returns on July 2nd with a fresh feel but the same beloved formula. Each hobby box delivers 3 autographs or memorabilia cards, on average, along with 16 Optic base or parallel cards.
The set features a strong rookie class headlined by Connor Zilisch, and collectors can chase rare parallels like the Black Pandora Optic SP and 1-of-1 Checkered Flag cards. Donruss Racing continues to offer a fun mix of hits, rookies, and colorful chase cards that appeal to NASCAR fans and collectors alike.
2025 Panini Score Football kicks off the new collecting season with a large 400-card base set, including 100 rookies. Each hobby box contains 10 packs with 20 cards per pack, delivering four autographs, 50 rookies, 10 parallels, and 24 inserts.
The set features a wide mix of current stars, legends, and incoming talent, with autograph content spread across a variety of subsets. Double Trouble Ground Zero, a hobby-exclusive insert featuring autographs from top NFL duos, adds extra chase value to the release.
2024-25 Mosaic Basketball brings back its signature blend of eye-catching parallels, bold inserts, and on-card ink in a product stacked with hits. Each hobby box delivers an average of 2 autographs, 18 Prizms, and 6 inserts or insert parallels.
Collectors can hunt exclusive parallels like Honeycomb, Bronze (#/75), Purple Snakeskin (#/24), and more—including Gold Snakeskin (#/8) and Tessellation (#/15).
Autographs span a wide range of sets including Rookie Autographs Mosaic, Showtime Signatures, and new Hobby-exclusive designs like Rookie Season Ticket and Colorgraphs. Mosaic also shines with its vibrant inserts, featuring Heat Check, Overdrive, and the debut of Color Blast in the Mosaic line.
SSP chasers will also enjoy the return of Stained Glass and Micro Mosaic. This release continues to be a staple for collectors who love bold designs and parallel-heavy packs.
2025 Panini Donruss Elite Football returns with its signature blend of premium design and strong rookie content. Each hobby box delivers 2 autographs, 1 memorabilia card, and a solid mix of 3 rookies, 6 parallels, and 11 inserts. The 200-card base set includes 100 rookies, giving collectors a strong foundation for both veterans and newcomers.
Key chase elements include Pen Pals Autographs—featuring on-card signatures in single, dual, triple, and even quad formats—as well as Turn of the Century Autographs and Passing the Torch Signatures.
Popular inserts like Spellbound and Throwback Threads return, offering both nostalgia and high-end flair. Elite continues to be a staple release for early NFL season collectors and rookie chasers alike.
2025 Panini Donruss WNBA is back and breaking new ground with its first-ever Downtown inserts, bringing bold artwork and top-tier collectability to the women’s game. Each box delivers 3 autographs or memorabilia cards and 24 inserts/parallels, on average.
Collectors can chase Rated Rookie cards of the WNBA’s top newcomers and hunt for on-card autographs in Private Signings and Next Day Autographs—a fan-favorite for rookie ink. New insert sets like Mascots, Courtside, and 1997 Pinnacle add fresh flavor to the checklist, making this a must-rip for both hardcore fans and prospectors.
2024/25 Upper Deck SP Authentic Hockey returns with its signature mix of elite rookie content, premium memorabilia, and stunning designs. Each hobby box delivers two autographs, including at least one of the coveted Autograph Future Watch Rookies—cards numbered to 999 featuring top NHL newcomers.
Collectors will also find Limited Red parallels, Spectrum FX bounty cards, and inserts like Pageantry, Collaborations, Maximum Performance, and Freshman Focus. Auto patch cards return in both vertical and horizontal formats, numbered to 100, offering game-used swatches and autographs from the league’s biggest names. This set remains a cornerstone for serious hockey collectors.
2025 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions delivers another eclectic, collector-favorite release blending athletes, pop culture icons, and stunning artwork.
Each hobby box contains 2 hits, which could include autographs, memorabilia, manufactured relics, or lenticular cards. This year introduces the 2025 Exquisite Collection, offering rookie and veteran autograph/memorabilia cards, with Gold Spectrum Rookie Auto Patches numbered to 10.
Also new are Animal Kingdom Emblems, a five-tiered manufactured relic set spotlighting creatures from around the globe. Collectors can expect 6 Young Guns® cards, 4 Goudey mini cards, 5 Foilboard parallels, 10 Glossy Black parallels, and a shot at rare lenticular bounty cards. A true mix of sport, art, and culture.
2024/25 Panini Noir Basketball drops on July 23, 2025, offering one of the most artistic and premium experiences in the hobby. Each box delivers 4 on-card autographs, 3 memorabilia cards, and 3 base, parallels, or inserts, all packed into a single 10-card pack.
This year’s Noir lineup introduces several new autograph sets like A-List Signatures, Showrunner Signatures, and 10th Anniversary Patch Autographs, while returning favorites like Sneaker Spotlight Signatures and Spotlight Signatures continue to impress.
Collectors can also chase beautifully designed Metal Frame inserts (including new “Biopics”) and rare memorabilia like Logoman one-of-ones. Noir continues to be a go-to release for high-end collectors and fans of sleek, cinematic card design.
2024/25 Panini Obsidian Soccer marks the brand’s sixth season, returning with its signature black opti-chrome aesthetic and sleek die-cut inserts. This year’s edition includes a mix of top club and national teams, with a refreshed insert and parallel lineup that includes popular Color Flood versions.
Collectors can once again chase Black Colorblast and Contra (white opti-chrome) cards—both limited to one per case. A standout addition for 2024-25 is a tribute insert honoring the 25th anniversary of the 1999 U.S. Women’s National Team Championship. Expect another visually striking release that blends rarity, history, and design.
Panini Certified Football is back for the 2025 NFL season with all the polished flair collectors expect. This year’s release stays true to form with a sleek mirrored design and a well-balanced checklist featuring veterans, Hall of Famers, and the league’s brightest new rookies.
At the core of the product is the Freshman Fabric Signatures—the coveted RPA set that anchors each box. Alongside it, collectors can expect one additional autograph, two memorabilia cards, three numbered parallels, and a solid mix of 10 inserts and 2 rookies or rookie parallels per box.
The base set clocks in at 242 cards, blending legends, stars, and newcomers. Chase rare SSPs like The Mighty, Night Moves, and First Round Certifications, plus visually dynamic inserts like Certified Stars and Immortal.
With 10 packs per box and 5 cards per pack, Certified Football continues to deliver a sharp mix of hits and collectability—ideal for both rookie chasers and long-time fans.
The 2024-25 Panini Donruss Optic Basketball release is one of the most anticipated drops of the NBA card calendar, set to launch around July 31, 2025.
Staying true to the Optic tradition, this year’s set features a 300-card base set, including 225 veterans, 50 Rated Rookies, and 25 Legends, all printed with the Optic’s signature chromium finish. Each Hobby Box contains 1 autograph, 11 Prizm parallels, and 9 inserts, offering collectors a solid mix of hits, color, and short prints.
Collectors can chase a wide range of hobby-exclusive parallels like Gold Vinyl 1/1, Black Velocity (/39), Photon SPs, and Cracked Ice (/25). The Rated Rookie Signatures set returns with on-card autographs of the 2024 draft class, while new and returning inserts—such as Lights Out, Elite Dominators, and Rising Suns—add flair and variety.
This year, Net Marvels makes its Optic debut, and the beloved Downtown insert appears in this product for the first time, joined by SSPs like Slammy! and Alter Ego.
In addition to the Hobby version, Fast Break and Choice boxes will offer unique parallels and exclusive autographs, catering to a range of collectors.
With its bold designs, highly sought-after Rated Rookies, and deep checklist of parallels and SPs, the 2024-25 Donruss Optic release remains a cornerstone for basketball card enthusiasts, whether they’re chasing rookies or building rainbow sets of their favorite players.
