June has some awesom releases from many of the most collected sports, and in this article, we’ll look at a few of the biggest.
As always, here are the CardLines picks for cards to watch in June 2025. And, also as always, a feature on this list doesn’t mean it’s a must-buy. We’re sharing honest thoughts on all products.
Please note: the release schedules are very fluid and move frequently. These dates are not guaranteed (and with so many releases tentatively scheduled for February, it’s a safe bet many of these will not release this month).
2025 Topps Sterling Baseball returns as a high-end product focused on premium autograph and relic content.
Each box contains one pack with two cards, including one autographed relic card numbered to 25 and either a unique 1-of-1 relic or autographed relic, or a second autographed relic card numbered to 25 or less.
The checklist features a mix of current stars, legends, and rookies, with all cards exclusive to hobby shops.
Releasing at $625, 2024/25 Panini Select FIFA Soccer brings the Select format to a global stage with teams from across the world, including national squads like Brazil and France and clubs like AC Milan. The base set includes 250 cards across three tiers—Terrace, Mezzanine, and Field Level—with a wide array of parallels, including Tessellation (#’d/15) and Honeycomb SSPs.
Each hobby box contains 12 packs with five cards per pack, delivering three autographs or memorabilia cards, along with seven inserts or insert parallels, nine unnumbered base parallels, and five numbered base parallels.
Insert highlights include Equalizers, Snapshots, Select Future, and Unstoppable, with Stained Glass, Artistic Impressions, Visionary, and Team Badges averaging one per case. Signers include Trinity Rodman, Endrick, and Samu Aghehowa.
2024 Panini Contenders Football brings back its signature Rookie Ticket autographs along with a strong mix of parallels and inserts. Each box contains six packs with eight cards per pack, delivering five autographs (including one on-card) and 10 inserts or parallels.
In addition to rookie content, the product features autographs from veterans and NFL legends, and includes insert sets like Supernatural, Crown Jewels, and Superstar Die-Cuts. This is the most autograph-driven set, historically, and that makes it one of the least attractive of all Panini products this year.
Releasing on June 11, 2025, 2025 Topps Series 2 Baseball continues the flagship line with more base cards, inserts, and hits featuring current MLB stars, rising rookies, and legends from the past.
The Hobby Box includes 20 packs of 12 cards each, plus one silver promo pack, and guarantees one autograph or relic card per box. The Jumbo Box offers 10 packs of 40 cards each, two silver promo packs, and delivers three hits, including at least one autograph and two relics.
Both formats offer a continuation of the Series 1 checklist, with expanded coverage of the 2025 season.
Releasing for $325, 2024 Panini Contenders Optic Football combines the Contenders brand with Optichrome technology for a premium, hit-focused format.
Each box includes one pack with six cards, delivering two autographs, two base cards, one insert or insert parallel, and one Season or Rookie Ticket parallel.
Autograph content includes on-card Rookie Ticket Autos, along with Throwback Rookie Autographs and Contenders Tribute Autographs. Case-level chases include Rookie Patch Autographs, Induction Ticket Autographs, Legitness, Now Contending, Crown Jewels, and VIPs, with each case expected to contain one RPA, one case-hit insert, and four additional inserts.
Releasing on June 25, 2025, 2025 Panini Score Football kicks off the new collecting season with a large 400-card base set, including 100 rookies. Each hobby box contains 10 packs with 20 cards per pack, delivering four autographs, 50 rookies, 10 parallels, and 24 inserts.
The set features a wide mix of current stars, legends, and incoming talent, with autograph content spread across a variety of subsets. Double Trouble Ground Zero, a hobby-exclusive insert featuring autographs from top NFL duos, adds extra chase value to the release.
Releasing at $450, Panini Select Basketball features its familiar opti-chrome format and a three-tiered base set consisting of Concourse, Premier Level, and Courtside cards. Each box contains 12 packs with five cards per pack, delivering three autographs or memorabilia cards, 12 base Prizms, and three inserts or insert parallels.
Collectors can look for autograph content from 2024 NBA rookies, along with current stars and legends. Parallels include Tie-Dye (#’d/25), Gold (#’d/10), Green (#’d/5), Black Finite (1/1), Zebra, and Gold Glitter.
Insert highlights include En Fuego, Select Future, Clutch, Score Select Throwback, and Sky High, along with short-printed chases like Color Wheel, Visionary, and Solar Eclipse.
2024/25 Upper Deck SP Authentic Hockey features a 200-card base set, split between 100 veterans and 100 Future Watch Rookies, with the popular Autograph Future Watch Rookies numbered to 999.
Each box contains 10 packs with nine cards per pack, and delivers at least one Autograph Future Watch Rookies card, one additional autograph, and a variety of inserts and parallels.
Collectors can also find Future Watch Auto Patch cards (#’d to 100), Limited Auto Material, and UD Authentics Auto Patch cards. Insert sets include Pageantry, Holofoils, Collaborations, Maximum Performance, and Freshman Focus, with additional content like Spectrum FX Bounty cards and numbered tech inserts adding to the chase.
Pre-ordering (albeit distantly) at $275, 2025 Panini Luminance Football returns with its signature full-bleed action photography and sleek design.
Each box includes four packs with 10 cards per pack, delivering three autographs, one memorabilia card, five parallels, four inserts, and 12 rookies.
The product features a mix of horizontal and vertical layouts across the base and rookie sets, with autograph content from both current stars and all-time greats. Case-chase inserts like Animation, Moments, and Prime Time provide added appeal for collectors.
