If you are a wrestling fan, October promises a bonanza of highly coveted releases. The Topps releases encompass unique styling, fresh designs, exciting new content, and an impressive number of iconic wrestlers. From the Rock to Steve Austin and beyond, these Topps releases have them all. If you are determined to pick up one or two (or three, we don’t judge) of these collections, here’s our 2021 Topps Chrome WWE Undisputed Transcendent review.
Topps revived the Chrome WWE Wrestling last year after a five-year absence. It looks to us like a triumphant return. The 2021 Topps Chrome WWE Wrestling looks to build on that success for another year. Featuring a roll call of legends from NXT, SmackDown, and WWE Raw, there are 100 cards in its base Roster set and a generous quantity of refractor parallels. We believe Topps will build on this quality in future years.
Release Date: October 15th, 2021

The 2021 Topps WWE Undisputed base set represents every aspect of both the male and female SmackDown, NXT, and Raw rosters. Depicted in this checklist are current superstars, legends from the past, and several rookie cards.
Set to be a collectors’ favorite already, the all-new Grand Slam Champions showcases some of WWE’s most accomplished wrestlers. Look for autograph variations of select cards as they hold more value.
An inset that has been a clear favorite for collectors over the years, Rob Schamberger’s illustrations features 10 of the legendary superstars from the Men & Women WWE division. You should, however, look out for the Superstar and artist signed variation as they hold more value.
With a minimum of 8 guaranteed autograph cards in every hobby box, the 2021 Undisputed set takes a genuinely expansive approach to the autograph roster. Similarly, the WWE Undisputed checklist improves the signature excitement by turning to the Grand Slam Champions Autographs and the Superstar Roster Autographs.

While we can’t see the future and so cannot say precisely how much these releases would be worth a few years from now, we can make pretty accurate guesses by looking at how well the previous releases held out.
Before 2020, the last release of this line of Topps cards was 2015. Therefore, we’ll consider only its 2020 performance.

Without a doubt, these releases are poised to hold their value and be great investments for collectors. Seeing how past releases have held onto and increased in value over the years puts your chances of making considerable profits off these sets very high. Therefore, each of these collections is a pretty good boy, even the pricy Transcendent collection. Although the best investment here is collecting the singles of top-rated cards, which would more than triple their value in a few months as is the norm from previous years.
While several autographed cards in the Transcendent collection lineup are already making waves in the collection community and thus are top chases, we consider hidden gems from the two other collections expected to age remarkably well.
One of the unique women in WWE’s history, Belair’s athleticism is second to none. Amongst the most gifted athletes to set foot in the ring, Belair is set to remain a pivotal figure. Thus her card should offer collectors great value.
His distinct style has made his illustration a top collector favorite, and any of the 10 Rob Schamberger illustrated cards would provide a worthwhile investment for investors. Similarly, collectors should look out for the autographed variations signed by the artist and the depicted WWE superstar as they’ll offer the fastest and most significant returns.
After their impressive win over Street Profits, the dual autograph card of the Dirty Dawgs looks set to be a worthwhile investment. Already former WWE SmackDown Tag Team and Raw Tag Team Champions, their signed cards can only do one thing – increase in value. Considered the leaders of the Tag Team revival, they are indeed here to show the world, and we’re here to see it!
The inaugural Universal Champion has been missing from the WWE since his bizarre Extreme Rules loss to Roman Reigns. However, a WrestleVotes tweet has an enthusiast especially interested in his auto card. The tweet hinted at Finn Balor being used in McIntyre’s Monday night role. McIntyre utterly dominated RAW’s main event, and if Balor is set to benefit from the same treatment, we could see him become World Champion again soon. This news alone makes his cards a worthwhile chase.
The Undisputed and Transcendent collections are major releases that have begun making waves in the card collecting community. The perfect mixture of Legends, Superstars, and Prospects ensures that these releases are highly recommended buys. Similarly, Chrome Wrestling and Undisputed releases prices are genuinely reasonable compared to their potential value after a year or two. However, while seemingly overpriced, the Transcendent release offers truly legendary cards that can easily triple their value in mere months as they have done in the past. Thus, investors can chase these single cards rather than cough up money for a whole box.
