This set dips into the inky origins of Floodborn glimmers. The six magical inks… Amber, Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, and Steel, were released in a mixed-up chaotic form, resulting in a mysterious flood which damaged the Great Illuminary. When storyborn or dreamborn glimmers encounter this mixed ink, they surge with a power that changes them, transforming them into floodborn glimmers. As the magical ink poured out of the illuminary, treasured lore went with it, including King Triton’s powerful trident.

On September 12th, one week after Ravensburger announced they would increase production of Disney Lorcana packs and reprint the first set of cards, the company announced the second chapter of the Lorcana TCG.
Named Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn, the chapter will feature over 200 new cards with fantastic new artwork to complement cards from the first chapter.
According to Ravensburger Global Head of Games Filip Francke, the fans were eager for more Lorcana cards.
The response to the release of the Disney Lorcana TCG has been astounding. The game has only been available for about a month, and fans are already eager for more. As we work diligently behind the scenes to meet current demand, we’re also planning incredible updates and new sets for years to come that we can’t wait to share. We’re excited to reveal a little more about what is coming this holiday to expand the game and story for this year.”
Rise of the Floodborn would provide new shiny cards and further expand on the lore of Lorcana. Not only will there be new characters in this second chapter, but there will also be new stories and a brand-new game mechanic.
Characters missing from the first chapter, such as Winnie the Pooh and Tiana, are present in this new set. At the same time, stories, and movies like The Jungle Book, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Zootopia, and Raya and the Last Dragon will all make their Disney Lorcana debut.
Like the first chapter, Rise of the Floodborn would be released at local game stores and Disney Parks two weeks before its mass release on Friday, November 17th. Its mass release at big box retailers is scheduled for December 1st, just in time for the holidays.
Rise of the Floodborn explores the origins of the floodborn characters. It will have characters from Raya and the Last Dragon and Zootopia. There’s also a new keyword sure to interest avid players.
