Who is Dylan Crews?

Dylan Crews was the 2^nd overall pick in the 2023 MLB Amateur draft, selected just after Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Now, barely a year after being drafted, Crews has been called up by the Washington Nationals to begin his big league career.

Prior to being drafted, Crews was a standout with Team USA (at both the 14U and 18U levels) and in college with LSU, where he was a teammate of Skenes. Crews was the winner of the 2023 Golden Spikes Award.

Since being drafted, Crews has played in 135 minor league games across two minor league seasons and four levels. He put up a line of .275/.351/.455 in those games, good for an OPS of .803. He added 18 home runs, 30 doubles, and 29 stolen bases while playing a solid center field.

Now Crews will get his chance to make his mark in the big leagues. Crews is a dynamic player, to date showing the ability to hit for power and average while playing great defense and stealing plenty of bases along the way.
