New cards and special sets

While we are still waiting for the official announcement for Temporal Forces, the Pokémon Trading Card Game’s second to next English release is rumored to combine translated cards from Japan’s Wild Force and Cyber Judge sets, which are for release in Japan on January 26, 2024.

Ancient Scarlet and Violet Paradox Pokémon such as Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, the Paradox equivalents of Suicuine & Virizion, will allegedly be a main feature in the Temporal Force set. In December 2023, the pair featured on the Japanese cover art for the Wild Force and Cyber Judge packs that will be released later this month.

The full card list for Wild Force and Cyber Judge is also still to be confirmed, but Wild Force is likely to include ex cards for the Paradox Legendary Beasts in Pokémon Scarlet, while Cyber Judge should feature the Paradox Swords of Justice in Pokémon Violet.

There are also two Golden Pokémon Cards, Dark and Metal Energy that also appeared in the exclusive reveal. On top of all this, two starter decks and building sets, that are likely to be based around Koraidon and Miraidon, were also revealed.

In an announcement made during Japan’s Champion’s League Kyoto livestream, both sets see the return of powerful ACE SPEC cards for the first time since 2013’s Black and White’s Plasma Blast set, along with future and ancient Pokémon.

In the past, ACE SPECs used to be limited to being item cards, but the new set is said to feature an energy card too. In all likelihood, the returning cards will probably be limited to one per deck.

The Wild Force and Cyber Judge sets are also likely to be released along with two starter deck and build sets which will include new Koraidon ex and Miraidon ex cards. What is unknown is whether or not these will have English translations.

It is also possible that the cards from the March 22 released Crimson Haze set, could be incorporated into Temporal Forces. This set supposedly includes cards that we saw in Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC. As already noted, there have been no details forthcoming about the pricing of the Temporal Forces set or its cards however this could change over the coming weeks.

Wild Force and Cyber Judge Cards that could be featured in Temporal Forces

Because the new set looks as though it is going to be made up of cards that are featured in the Japanese sets Wild Force and Cyber Judge, this can make for a pretty good indication of what we can expect from Pokémon Trading Card Game Temporal Forces.
