Hasbulla is nicknamed “Mini Khabib.” For a while, many believed that he was the son of the UFC champion. However, while the two are unrelated, they are from the same part of Russia and have created many videos together. As well as butting heads in the Octagon.

According to Khabib,

“With Hasbik, let’s make it so that people understand the situation. Hasbik lives in Khushet (in Dagestan). We have Saygid, Islam, Gadzhi… He’s a neighbor for our guys who live in Khushet. They know him from there, before he became a star. We have a good relationship. And when we have some kind of events, fights, we invite him so he doesn’t sit at home. We take him to Moscow. The fans also want to see him, he’s an interesting personality.”

Asides from Khabib, Hasbulla has also associated with other UFC stars and celebrities, which has helped boost his influence in the sport. This includes his association with Islam Makhachev, banter with Connor McGregor, and an appearance at Tyson’s “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson.”

Hasbulla’s contract with the UFC

While Hasbulla has created content across several industries, he has always had strong links with superstars in combat sports. One of his most viral videos reenacted the iconic Khabib weigh-in, and he’s had several memorable interactions with UFC fighters.

This association with combat sports made Hasbulla a well-known figure in the fighting circle. It also got him an invitation from Dana White for 2021’s UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi.

In September 2022, several outlets reported that Hasbulla had signed a five-year deal with the UFC after meeting with Dana White.

According to UFC insider Igor Lazorin on Instagram.

“Hasbulla signed a five-year contract with UFC! So far in the plan – attending tournaments, media activity. We will not talk about the amounts in detail, but there they are such that many fighters do not get that much. Hasbulla signed a 5-year contract with UFC! No fights yet, but…”

Hasbulla’s prior relationship with the world of combat sports had endeared him to millions of fans. Hence, fans welcomed UFC’s decision to officially sign him with joy.

Since signing with the UFC, Hasbulla has been a constant figure in combat sports. He was a part of Islam Makhachev’s camp for UFC 280 as an official part of the company. While Hasbulla wasn’t allowed to enter the Octagon between the rounds, he was seated “very close to the cage.”

According to Islan Makhachev, before the fight that he went on to win,

“He is gonna sit close to the cage, you know Charles has four corners but I have five.My corner is gonna be my striking coach from Dagestan and my brother Muslim, Khabib, Javier, my coach from Dagestan. Hasbulla gonna sit close to the cage. And he is gonna be on my side.”

Hasbulla was also spotted trotting around with his UFC Title Belt over his shoulder.

Why does Hasbulla have a UFC contract?

We can sum up Dana White’s decision to sign Hasbulla to the UFC in two words – Star Power! Like Lazorin said when UFC announced the deal, Hasbulla would attend tournaments and other media activities. Hasbulla boasts an enormous social media fan base with over 9 million followers on Instagram.

That’s more followers than 95% of UFC fighters. While the UFC is a massive brand, an extra boost doesn’t hurt. A social media sensation like Hasbulla is an effective way to boost followership and generate interest, especially among their social media audience.

In the words of UFC Chief Dana White, a fan of Hasbulla, his post with Hasbulla was the biggest post he ever had.

“So I’m going to tell you something. So the video that he sent saying ‘Dana White, I’m coming to Abu Dhabi and UFC,’ so when I posted that with me on the plane saying ‘I’m coming, it’s the biggest post that I’ve ever posted.6.4 million people watched that video. Is that f***ing crazy?”

White, however, said that there was “more than a zero percent chance” of Hasbulla fighting during the duration of his UFC contract.

“I love the kid. Is there more than a zero percent chance? Yes,”

Indeed White signing Hasbulla has proven to be a marketing masterstroke for the UFC. The Russian has generated plenty of interest from fans worldwide. There’s the UFC X Hasbulla collection on the UFC store. He’s also regularly attended all their events and showed up at White’s Power Slap.

These cards were available on the official Tyson Beck store and, according to this tweet by Tyson Beck, were sold out on drop day.

However, while these cards might hold some value, they’re largely overlooked as they aren’t official UFC cards. This has affected their value immensely, and you could get a few on eBay for truly fair prices ranging from $80 to $500.

Hasbulla Panini Instant Cards

The first Panini Hasbulla trading cards released were the Hasbulla Panini Instant cards. Panini creates cards and lists on their online store when an event happens. Usually, the cards are available for purchase within 24 hours after the said event.

Bottomline of Hasbulla Prizm UFC cards

Panini’s decision to release Hasbulla trading cards has been an enormous all-around success, given his immense popularity. His cards have created an extra buzz around the 2023 Panini Prizm UFC set and have helped push the overall value of the set.

Collectors and fans have been clamoring to get their hands on the cards, considered one of the most unique in the entire set. This high demand for unique and interesting cards isn’t new to the hobby, and some collectors are calling for more products with “one of these oddball personalities per product.”

The future value of these cards is tricky to predict, as most “social media frenzy” fizzles out eventually. However, the cards are doing amazingly well and would further increase in value if Dana White finds a way to put Hasbulla in the ring. Barring something extraordinary, the value of Hasbulla’s trading cards should increase in value until his UFC contract runs out. What happens after that is anyone’s guess.
