2022 Topps Chrome Logofractor Edition had a limited release on September 28th with supplies selling out very quickly as collectors try to get their hands on this product and is one of the few 2022 Topps Chrome releases with rookie short prints.

2022 Topps Chrome Logofractor Edition product basics

Topps Chrome Logofractor is a new release this year based off the Topps Chrome set. According to the Topps website, Logofractor features “the top 110 cards from 2022 Topps Chrome.”

The set is printed on refractor stock and the design features the MLB Logo running diagonally across the entire card. Card numbering is different compared to base Chrome, and “MLB Mega” is featured directly under the card number.

Note that the 2022 Topps Chrome Logofractor edition is eligible for the Topps Chrome buyback promotion. If you have Aaron Judge or Paul Goldschmidt cards, you can exchange them back from anywhere from $20 to $200 in hobby store credit.

Logofractor is only released in one format, and it was limited to the MLB Store in New York and the Topps website.

Investing in Topps Chrome Logofractor 2022

With a release at $50 a box, Logofractor boxes are an affordable way to pull both Chrome and Logofractor cards. However, the combination of affordable pricing and a limited release means these cards sold out quickly online.

Sealed Boxes

The limited nature of the Topps Chrome Logofractor release has caused these boxes to quickly rise in value. Sealed boxes are going for as much as $159 on eBay. However, boxes are still being shipped to those lucky enough to buy them in time, so this price may decrease as supply increases.

Although we don’t have any historical data for Logofractor releases, it seems likely that prices will stabilize significantly higher than the $50 MSRP due to the popularity of the product. If you managed to get boxes at the $50 price point, it could definitely turn into a nice investment down the line. On the other hand, I can’t recommend investing at this price-point if you are just entering the market.

Rookies

As a Chrome release, investing in specific rookies from Logofractor is a solid choice. I would recommend waiting until the market cools for Logofractor before targeting rookies to invest in, since prices will go down as more people receive their shipments.
