The release date for 2022 Topps Holiday was November 30, 2022.
Hobby packs of 2022 Topps Holiday contain 10 cards per pack. Each Mega Box of 2022 Topps Holiday holds 10 packs per box.
Each Mega Box contains one autograph or memorabilia card on average, plus a box topper.2022 Topps Holiday Mega Boxes are a retail exclusive to Walmart, although Topps did have some available for sale on their website (since sold out).
Walmart did not have the box listed on their website either at the time of this writing. Boxes are selling on the secondary market (including eBay) in the $75-90 range, plus shipping.

The base set of the 2022 Topps Holiday consists of 200 cards. The checklist pulls a mix of stars and rookies from the 2022 Topps Series 1, Series 2, and Update offerings earlier this year.
The design is based on the Topps Flagship design, but with some holiday flourishes. These include mistletoe vines, snowflakes, and more.
Parallels have not yet been announced, but are likely a part of the product.

One of the most popular features of 2022 Topps Holiday is the variations. These come in three increasingly difficult-to-pull varieties: short prints, rare and super rare. The checklist for short prints is 50 cards, with rare and super rare having 25 cards each.
The Topps Holiday variations include a number of over-the-top, obviously doctored photos with winter or holiday themes. These prove popular with collectors in the holiday spirit.

Standard relics with a 49-card checklist. The deeper checklist means that while there are top names like Aaron Judge, Bobby Witt Jr., and Julio Rodriguez, there are also some deeper cuts that may not excite collectors quite as much.
This 12-card offering includes holiday-themed relics worn by players. I’m interested to see if we get any Ugly Christmas Sweater cards.
Taking the holiday theme to its extreme, these faux relics offer collectors the chance to own a piece of memorabilia from Santa, Mrs. Claus, and an Elf. Are they real or fake? It all depends on if you believe or not!
Just about every collector would love to have autographed cards under the Christmas tree, and 2022 Topps Holiday Mega Boxes deliver.
The base autograph set contains 39 cards. The checklist contains a mix of rookies and stars.
Select cards from the Relics and Holiday Relic insert offering (24 and 12, respectively) get the autographed treatment as well.
The Faux Relics even get autographs. Again, they’re real if you believe in Santa! If not, I guess they’re as fake as a plastic Christmas tree. Either way, it’s a bit of holiday fun.

Each 2022 Topps Holiday Mega Box contains an Oversized Die-Cut MLB Ornament as a box topper. With 19 cards in the set, you could decorate the whole tree with these, so collect ‘em all. Don’t need more ornaments? They make a fine collectible, as well.
So, how does the $75-90 Mega Box price for 2022 Topps Holiday compare to prior years?
A 2021 Topps Holiday Mega Box is selling for $25-35, with a 2020 Topps Holiday Mega Box in the same range. 2019 Topps Holiday Mega Boxes go for between $50-70.

So, this is a one-holiday present that’s likely not to increase dramatically in value, or even hold its value, if left unopened. Clearly, these are best opened and enjoyed. History tells us that these age about as well as a fruit cake.
As far as singles go, the rarest parallels of top players are sure to sell for a pretty penny, but the odds of pulling those are long. So, these may not be huge money-makers, but they do look to be a fun break. It’s not all about profit, of course, we’re not all a bunch of Ebenezer Scrounges!
2022 Topps Holiday Mega Boxes offer up a fun twist on the flagship Topps product, with some new versions of the biggest stars and rookies to chase, autographs, relics, and a bit of fun.
So, while maybe it’s not a great investment, there are reasons to hope for one of these under the tree this year.
