2023 Topps Luminaries is clearly a premium product that is all about the low serial-numbered autographs. The boxes contain only a single card, but still carry a steep price tag. But how do these boxes hold their value over time, unopened?

Let’s take a look at recent comp prices for hobby boxes from the last few years to see what we can surmise.

Interestingly, recent sale prices are on the low side, but BIN prices currently on eBay are closer to the $500 range. Cleary sellers think these are more valuable than buyers do, at least for the moment. That makes these questionable long-term investments unopened. This makes sense, as it feels like a product meant to be opened.

In terms of singles, let’s take a look at recent eBay comps for 2022 Topps Luminaries cards in PSA 9 or 10 slabs to see what the high water mark is.

With roughly 15 sales over $1,000, there is clearly some value to be attained here. The biggest sale from 2022 Topps Luminaries was for a 2022 Topps Luminaries Calvin Coolidge Cut Signature Auto 1/1 in PSA 10, for a whopping $20,000.
