November is marked by big releases in all the major sports. While the MLB season is wrapping up, the NFL season is passing the midway point and the NBA season is getting going, showing us who’s back (Lillard, we see you), who’s improving, and who’s disappointing early on.
Here are the Cardlines picks for releases to watch in November. But please note: the release schedules are very fluid and move frequently. These dates are not guaranteed.
We will be the first to tell you that investing in “draft picks” sports cards is a bad idea. The college jersey cards of brands that also (eventually) have a pro-uni equivalent are usually worth about one-tenth of the professional equivalent. That said, if you’re looking for any Draft Picks cards, Prizm Draft Picks is probably the best investment to be made.
It’s a chance to open Prizm and collect some of the best rookies at a fraction of what normal Prizm can cost. These boxes can be pre-ordered for $200 and come 4 packs of 10 cards. You can expect 4 autographs, 4 silver, 8 colored parallels, 4 rated prospects, and more. With a talented rookie class, this isn’t an awful investment at just $200.
Panini Origins isn’t one of the best long-term holds and will never be a Top 5 football product (or Top 10, even), but it is one of the best early-season products. If you want to speculate on a rookie who hasn’t flashed yet and doesn’t want to wait and buy after the season ends, Origins is a great bet.
The boxes are pre-ordering at $299 and come with 1 Jumbo Rookie Jersey Autograph, 1 other auto, 1 memorabilia, and more. That said, it’s a risky rip – you only get 1 pack of 7 cards.

Panini Prizm World Cup Soccer could be a huge release this year. The 2022 World Cup Qatar cards will feature all the biggest names in the sport from the 32 qualified teams.
Like most Prizm products, it’s 12 packs of 12 cards each with 1 auto, 4 numbered parallels, 2 silvers, 6 other variations, and more. The downside? It’s priced like a big-ticket release, with boxes demanding about $1000/box upon writing.
This product brings some of the biggest Prizm shortprints to soccer, too: Magna, Color Wheel, and National Pride (which looks like the Downtown cards but on a more global level). The autographs can be both current and retired stars.
Panini says you can “Find Autographs of stars past-and-present from the field of 32, including Kylian Mbappé. Also be on the hunt for short printed Dual Signatures, highlighting teammates and compatriots.

Contenders Optic is not the sports card juggernaut that Donruss Optic is, but it still has a big demand for collectors. It’s a riskier rip than its Optic brethren, with just 1 pack of 6 cards in the $449 box.
The boxes include 1 auto, 2 inserts, 2 parallels and 1 base season ticket, and here’s the truth with Contenders Optic: if you’re ripping a box and want any chance of making your money back, you better hit a really nice autograph. Other than that, it’s almost always going to be a wash.
This product has a lot of color, thankfully. Look for Silver, Red, 75th Anniversary, Blue (#’d/99), Orange (#’d/49), Green Pulsar (#’d/25), Black Pandora, Gold (#’d/10), and one of one Gold Vinyl.
There are also parallels for Red and Blue Cracked Ice, and Hobby Exclusive SSP Black Pandora Parallels.

And if this sounds familiar, it’s because I said the exact same thing for Prizm Draft Picks basketball, which is released just a couple of weeks earlier. The difference between the two, however, is that the NBA has a much stronger rookie class. If I was looking to invest in just one, I’d go NBA (or, more realistically, I’d avoid Draft Picks investing all together.)

Triple Threads is a baseball cornerstone featuring big pulls and some awesome low-numbered cards. The boxes don’t have a pre-order price yet, but we do have some expectations: each box will contain 2 packs of 7 cards, and each box includes a triple relic card /99 or less, a triple relic card to /36 or less, an autgoraph rookie card or jumbo relic to /99 or less, and a jumbo relic to /48 or less.
As Topps notes, “Triple Threads delivers game-used greatness. Each case is guaranteed to include a 1-of-1 Autograph Relic Card, and an Autograph Relic Combo Card featuring 3 or more players.” There’s some big-pull potential here – we’ve just got to watch the release price.

Immaculate is a high-end product that has never had the popularity of other high-end products. It’s… a thing. That exists. And sure, there are nice Immaculate cards, but I’ve never met a collector who was drooling in anticipation of an Immaculate rip.
In an Immaculate hobby box, you’ll find 1 pack of 6 cards. Collectors will pull 3 autographs and 2 memorabilia cards, plus a base. Some of the best cards in the product are various logo cards. Collectors can find a variety of memorabilia content from Sneaker soles to Sneaker laces, Team Logos to Brand Logos, and Championship tags to Logomans.
We don’t have a pre-order price yet, but judging off current resell prices for older iterations of this product, expect it to be around $2,500.

Bowman Chrome is a superpower in baseball cards and the 2022 release keeps riding the wave. Expect 12 packs per box and 5 cards per pack for the traditional hobby box, which is pre-ordering for $325.
The product features 2 chrome autographs per box and carries a 200-card set with 100 base and 100 prospect cards to pull. This product was originally slated for a September rollout, so hopefully it will be worth the wait.
